Job Summary
Donor Care Specialist responsibilities include managing routine to moderately complex donor complications from the donation process, providing timely and accurate answers about donor eligibility and concerns, performing medical director/designee reviews and quality reviews for donor complication cases, investigating discrepancies in donor records and ensuring confidential handling of donor data, and monitoring security of donor records. The role requires an RN/LPN/MLT certification with at least 1 year of related experience, and isHYBRID with in-office requirements located in Charlotte, NC (office twice a month after training). The position includes duties such as reporting, data management, and collaboration with physicians, staff, and external customers, with travel sometimes required. Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent with medical certification such as Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Laboratory Professional (MT or MLT) required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in patient care, blood collections or patient testing or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
