Job Summary
Conduct daily sorting and organization of donated goods, ensuring accurate tracking and flow from the donation door to production or backstock. Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, balers, and electric pallet jacks while maintaining a clean, safe warehouse environment. Greet donors professionally, review items for quality standards, and manage trash removal and cardboard breakdown to keep areas organized. Assist supervisors with inventory rotation, loading shipments, and communicating logistics needs during shift handoffs. Perform cross-trained production tasks such as disinfection, pricing, and baling unsellable items. Work evenings and weekends with full-time non-exempt scheduling flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 18 years of age required for heavy machinery certification
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Adherence to consistent attendance and weekly hours expectations based on full-time non-exempt status
- Ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to work extended periods of time wearing mask or respirator and other PPE
- Scheduling flexibility and evenings and weekend availability
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
