Job Summary
Greet donors professionally, sort incoming donations by department, and identify quality goods versus unsellable items. Review donated goods for poor quality or damage, explain rejection reasons consistent with core behaviors, and track product movement on an electronic tablet. Maintain a clean, organized donation area, manage trash appropriately, and break down cardboard. Assist with production needs including disinfection, furniture pricing, and clothing production dumping. Use manual machinery such as pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks; heavy machinery certification required for higher levels. Participate in daily huddles, shift handoffs, and communicate donation volume and issues to the supervisor. Work in a fast-paced environment with scheduling flexibility for evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 years of age required for level 1
- Minimum age 18 years of age required for levels 2 & 3
- Scheduling flexibility and evenings and weekend availability
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Able to adhere to consistent attendance and weekly working hours expectations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work extended periods of time wearing mask or respirator and other PPE
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
