Job Summary
Greet donors professionally, sort incoming donations by department, and identify quality goods versus trash or unsellable items. Review donated goods for poor quality, damage, or restrictions, and explain why certain items cannot be accepted. Track product movement from the donation door to production or backstock using an electronic tablet. Assist with production needs such as disinfection and pricing furniture, while maintaining a clean environment by managing trash and organizing cardboard. Use manual pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks, and participate in daily huddles and shift handoffs. Communicate donation volume and issues to the Donations Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 16 years of age
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Able to adhere to consistent attendance and weekly working hours expectations
- Scheduling flexibility and evenings and weekend availability
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work extended periods of time wearing mask or respirator and other PPE
- Ability to use manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies
