Job Summary
Open and close the donation center while greeting donors with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude. Respectfully receive donations, issue receipts regardless of size, and assist donors with lifting items in and out of vehicles. Sort donated items according to GICF policies and procedures while adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards. Assist in loading trucks with donated items as needed. This role involves standing or walking for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds independently and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance, and performing work inside and outside in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds independently
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull
- Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers
- Ability to perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes, and chemicals
- Acceptable and job-related drug test
- Motor vehicle report
- Reference check
