Job Summary

Supervise Goodwill Donation Door activities to ensure goals are met and serve as Supervisor in Charge of the entire facility when needed. Balance Management by Walking Around with personally participating in physical work, including organizing and cleaning Donation Door areas. Drive operations by inspiring, motivating, coaching, training, monitoring, and scheduling the team while filling out positions. Review daily, weekly, and monthly results to conduct coaching conversations and request additional actions from managers. Ensure policies and procedures are uniformly enforced across retail, production, and Donation Door operations. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, with the ability to lift 20-100 pounds and respond to unpredictable changes in donation volume.

Required Qualifications

  • Supervises Goodwill Donation Door activities to ensure that goals are met
  • Serve, at times, as 'Supervisor in Charge' of entire facility
  • Assuring a high level of donor service
  • Ensure that Easter Seals-Goodwill policies and procedures are uniformly enforced and followed
  • Cross-training required in all aspects of Goodwill
  • Perform duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW
  • Responsive to changing and unpredictable circumstances
  • Showing initiative to accomplish the tasks at hand
  • Prepared to move between assignments as priorities change
  • Must be cross-trained and assist in all aspects of retail, production, and/or Donation Door operations
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Balance activities to include Management by Walking Around and personally participating in the physical work in the Donation Door area
  • Acts as a Driver of operations at the Donation Door
  • Inspires, motivates, coaches, trains, monitors, and/or schedules the Donation Door team
  • Fills 'out' positions
  • Review Donation Door results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
  • Conduct coaching conversations, as needed, to address deficiencies
  • Work with managers to request additional actions if/when coaching is not affecting the required result
  • Ensure Donation Door areas are organized and clean
  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
  • Physically and mentally able to perform all job requirements
  • Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance
  • Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for entire shift
  • Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends or longer shifts if needed
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours per week
  • All positions require the completion of a background check
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
