Donation Door Attendant

Job Summary
Greet donors warmly, receive, record, and sort donations in accordance with Kaizen guidelines while providing excellent customer service. Assist with processing, cleaning, and preparing merchandise to support efficient store operations. Maintain clean, organized, and safe donation and work areas, completing additional tasks assigned by supervisors. This front-line role is essential in creating a positive first impression by ensuring items are sorted and processed according to established guidelines. Goodwill Southwest Florida is a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to impacting and changing lives across Southwest Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; independently lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds and team lift up to 100 pounds
- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate
- Able to see and recognize colors
- Knowledge of basic math skills
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail and/or stock handling preferred
