Job Summary
As a Donation Coordinator Training Specialist, you will develop and facilitate training for Donation Coordinators, ensuring compliance with standards and policies related to donor screening and eligibility. Responsibilities include creating training schedules, assisting in onboarding, developing assessment tools, and maintaining training records. You will also be involved in competency assessments and process improvements. Ideal candidates have a medical-related degree or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and previous experience in tissue donation facilitation.
Required Qualifications
- Medical-related degree/certification or appropriate experience in a medical environment.
- Previous experience facilitating tissue donation and family communication via telephone required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to converse with all levels.
- Demonstrates above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently within prescribed guidelines.
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in the use of referral management systems, data entry, protocol development and reporting.
- Recommended CTBS certification.
Additional Requirements
- May be required to work weekends and overnight to accommodate training and schedule requirements.
