Job Summary
Receive all donations in an expedient, courteous manner and place items in the appropriate place. Sort incoming donations based on general type of merchandise and correctly label all gaylords for storage, pick-up, and transport. Create manifests for shipping and transport of outgoing gaylords including trucks and trailers. Safeguard company property, including donated goods, and report any incidents of theft, pre-selection, misappropriation or unauthorized possession. Assist customers with unloading furniture or other items and clean restrooms, parking lot, and donation area. Sweep and spot mop donation center floor and maintain works areas in a clean, uncluttered, hazard free condition. Operate company owned equipment and assist in loading or unloading of merchandise onto/off trucks or trailers, as needed. Follow all safety rules and ensure appropriate safety equipment is used. Immediately take action and/or report any unsafe or potential hazards and report all team member and non-team member injuries to the RDC Operations Leader.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to be trained and take direction
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
