Job Summary
Maintain and clean the donation trailer and pod area before and after each shift, then separate and sort all donated items into proper containers as instructed. Assist donors with receiving their items and provide receipts, while keeping all reports and paperwork updated. Help TSA PA/Drivers load donations onto trucks and secure the trailer at the end of your shift. Notify the supervisor of needed supplies like brooms, receipts, or carts before running out. This role supports the San Clemente Thrift Store's Adult Rehabilitation Program, requiring flexibility for seven-day coverage including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
- Ability to move product up to 75lbs
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work 7 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED preferred
