Job Summary
Greet donors and safely unload household goods from vehicles while creating a welcoming atmosphere. Accurately record donations, complete donor receipts, and sort items into designated categories. Operate manual or power equipment as needed and assist with loading donations into company vehicles. Maintain a clean donation area, perform general housekeeping, and follow safety protocols by reporting hazards to management. Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and work outdoors for prolonged periods.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction in English
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with associates and customers
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous pallet packing and forklift experience
- Basic computer skills
- Multilingual with proficiency in English
