Job Summary
Donation Attendant at The Salvation Army Henderson Thrift Store maintains and cleans the donation area, assists donors with receipt of donated items, sorts donations into proper containers, assists TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks, communicates needs to supervisor, and secures the donation trailer at end of shift. Requires high school diploma or GED, ability to read/write, effective communication, and physical ability to move items; shift flexibility with full-time schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
- Ability to move product up to 75lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
