Job Summary
Greet donors, assist with unloading donations, provide receipts, and direct vehicular traffic at Goodwill stores, Attended Donation Centers, and community events. Accept donations, issue receipts, and educate donors on acceptable items and the company mission. Track donations in records, identify acceptable versus unacceptable goods, and communicate regularly with store managers or supervisors. Maintain professional appearance, adhere to safety standards, and ensure donors have a positive experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 pounds
- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to comply with safety standards and follow operating procedures when utilizing equipment, tools & machinery
- Must be able to adhere to company uniform and appearance standards and maintain a professional image at all times
- Must be able to greet donors in a friendly, courteous and timely manner
- Must be able to assist donors with the unloading of donations, provide a receipt and thank all donors for supporting Goodwill
- Must be able to direct donor vehicular traffic when necessary
- Must be able to assist in donation tracking and record keeping
- Must be able to identify acceptable and unacceptable donation items
- Must be able to serve as company ambassador and explain the Goodwill Mission in the community by providing general information about Goodwill's Mission, Services and Programs
- Must be able to provide excellent customer service, ensuring donors have a positive experience
- Must be able to communicate with the Retail Store Manager and/or Donation Attendant Supervisor
- Must be able to work in outside weather conditions and extreme heat
