Job Summary
As a Donation Attendant, you will assist with maintaining and cleaning the donation area, receiving items from donors, and managing paperwork as instructed. Responsibilities include sorting donations, assisting drivers, and securely locking up donation areas. Applicants should possess a High School diploma or GED, have strong communication skills, and be physically capable of moving heavy items. Flexibility in work scheduling is required as you may work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED preferred
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to move product up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, and miscellaneous carts.
Additional Requirements
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- The Salvation Army will consider requests for exemptions from any vaccination requirements on either religious or medical grounds when available.
