Job Summary
Donation Attendant at a Goodwill store in Sykesville, MD. Responsible for receiving donations in an expedient, courteous manner, labeling Gaylords, providing receipts, and assisting with loading/unloading furniture and other items. Maintains merchandise organization per PPM standards, operates pallet jack and walkie stacker, performs daily safety checks, handles floor care as needed, and supports cross-training in other store roles. Starting pay is $15.15 per hour. Other duties include assisting customers, preparing sales tickets and signs for large items, ensuring proper disposal guidance for hazardous donations, and contributing to a safe, welcoming retail environment with a strong emphasis on Goodwill Core Values.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to pass forklift certification
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be able to load/unload merchandise with customers
- Ability to operate pallet jack and walkie stacker
- Ability to follow safety rules and wear required safety equipment
- Able to cross-train in other store positions
