Job Summary
Maintain and clean the donation trailer and surrounding area at the start and end of each shift. Assist donors with item receipt and provide necessary documentation. Separate and sort donated materials into proper containers, stacking items as instructed. Maintain all reports and paperwork per supervisor directions. Secure and lock the donation trailer at shift conclusion. Support TSA PA and drivers by loading donations onto trucks when needed. Notify the supervisor of required supplies such as brooms, receipts, and carts before stock runs low. This role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program at the E Street Thrift Store. Full-time coverage is required seven days per week with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED
- Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
- Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts
- Ability to move product up to 75lbs
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
