Job Summary
Greet donors and safely unload household goods while providing excellent customer service to internal and external guests. Accurately record donations, complete donor receipts, and sort items into designated categories. Independently lift up to 50 pounds and operate manual or power equipment as needed. Maintain a clean donation area, perform general housekeeping, and assist with truck loading and unloading. Adhere to safety protocols by reporting hazards and injuries to management. Maintain a neat uniform and appearance throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instruction in English for safety purposes and communication with management
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with associates and customers
- Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, bending, lifting, kneeling and climbing for prolonged periods of time (up to 7 hours – per 8 hour shift)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months of previous work experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous pallet packing and forklift experience
- Basic computer skills
- Multilingual with proficiency in English
