Job Summary
As a Director of Nursing (DON), you will provide nursing and administrative direction for the nursing services team, oversee leadership and guidance in accordance with regulatory standards, ensure appropriate resource utilization for high-quality patient care, and coach and develop the clinical team. This position requires previous experience in nursing leadership roles and a graduate of an approved RN program, along with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in long-term care.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), or RN Manager
- 3-5 years of experience in a nursing supervisory role
- Graduate of an approved RN program
- Knowledgeable in nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertinent to long-term care
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Environment
- Familiarity with PointClickCare
- Advanced education in principles of management and geriatrics
- DON certification
