Job Summary
Finance-focused Grants Officer role supporting ASHM’s Domestic Programs. Responsible for grant accounting, donor fund management, budgeting, variance analysis, and compliance across grant-funded projects; prepares financial reports for internal and external stakeholders; supports audits and maintains auditable records; collaborates with Program and Contract Managers, and provides financial guidance to staff. Requires tertiary accounting/finance qualification and 3–5 years’ grant/accounting experience; strong stakeholder engagement, risk awareness, and proficiency in Excel and financial systems. Hybrid work arrangement in Sydney (2 days in office, 3 days remote).
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in grant, project, or operational accounting
- Experience preparing financial reports for government, donor, or not-for-profit environments
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting skills
- Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel
