Domestic Abuse Officer - 6 Month Contract

Job Summary
Domestic Abuse Officer responsible for initial contact with customers experiencing domestic abuse, conducting risk assessments, providing advice and support, and arranging access to specialist services. You will represent the organization at MARAC meetings, develop tailored safety and support plans, coordinate referrals to internal and external agencies, collaborate with partner agencies to reduce risk, and manage caseloads with accurate records. The role requires strong communication, safeguarding awareness, ability to handle high-risk situations, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed across Liverpool, St Helens, and Warrington. CIH Level 3 (or willingness to pursue) and GCSEs (English/Maths) are desirable. Must be able to travel across operational areas and work from home when required.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE Grade 3 (or equivalent) in English and Maths or relevant experience
- CIH Level 3 or willingness to work towards a Domestic Abuse qualification
- Experience working within housing, support services or a similar customer-focused environment
- Experience supporting individuals or families affected by domestic abuse
- Knowledge of domestic abuse legislation, safeguarding and best practice
- Experience carrying out assessments, developing support plans and managing caseloads
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with partner agencies and delivering multi-agency approaches
- Ability to travel across operational areas and work from home where required
