Job Summary
Own the architectural vision and multi-year roadmap for the AI and data platform backbone, setting guardrails and resolving cross-pillar trade-offs for the AI Architect and Engineering Leads. Lead five direct reports including the AI Architect and three Engineering Leads, building capacity and managing performance while removing blockers to ensure delivery commitments are met. Represent the domain on the Technology leadership team, translating technical portfolios into business signals for the CTO and board, and collaborating with peer Domain Leads and the Product unit to align platform strategy with product goals. Maintain architectural integrity across data, AI pipelines, and delivery infrastructure, ensuring responsible security and operational reliability while driving adoption of AI-native engineering practices across all engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of building and scaling AI-native platforms in a software product company
- Experience as a Chief Architect or equivalent
- Deep technical background in data architecture, AI systems, and platform infrastructure
- Proven track record of working closely with data at scale
- Hands-on familiarity with agentic AI systems, AI coding tools, and the infrastructure requirements of AI-native engineering at scale
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary specialist teams including senior architects and engineering leads
- Strong executive presence
- Experience driving AI transformation or equivalent engineering capability programmes with measurable outcomes in delivery maturity
- Demonstrated record of leading through significant changes in how engineering work is done
- Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with peer domain leads, product & portfolio, company data and AI functions, and external partners
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a cybersecurity, regulated, or security-sensitive product environment preferred
- Strong proficiency in AI technologies and tools
- Proven experience in applying AI solutions to solve real-world business or technical challenges
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement AI-driven initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and continuous learning mindset to keep up with evolving AI technologies
