Job Summary
Create age-appropriate training plans and lead daily practices focusing on stroke technique, starts, turns, and conditioning. Incorporate drills, technique work, and endurance training while maintaining accurate records of swimmer progress and attendance. Manage and oversee a staff of part-time coaches, coordinating meet logistics, travel plans, and safety compliance. Develop meet strategies, assign swimmers to events, and provide coaching and feedback during competitions. Communicate with swimmers and families regarding activities and performance updates. Foster a supportive environment and maintain a safe pool environment with knowledge of emergency procedures. Attend mandatory trainings and in-service orientations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- high school graduate or equivalent
- four (4) years of experience in coaching and/or swimming
- USA Certified Coach
- ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- basic knowledge of Hytek Meet Manager
- basic knowledge of Team Manager
- basic knowledge of Team Unify
- basic knowledge of RecTrac
- ability to learn software systems
- strong people and customer service skills
- ability to organize and promote swim team programs effectively
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED within 90 days of hire
