Job Summary
Operate and monitor snowmaking equipment through routine field inspections, manual adjustments, and snow removal using tools or snowblowers. Safely access snowmaking infrastructure across the mountain using snowmobiles, snowcats, skis, or snowboards while following established plans to achieve production goals. Communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisors and collaborate with Mountain Operations departments to maintain a safe, clean work environment. Work rotating shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays in all winter weather conditions. Requires a current U.S. driver's license, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for working outdoors and willingness to work in all winter weather conditions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Current U.S. Driver's License required
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all snowmaking and Mountain Operations safety procedures
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs require
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Skiing or snowboarding ability is beneficial but not required
