Job Summary
Conduct cashier duties, including operating registers, processing payments, and managing change. Manage stock operations by unloading trucks, unpacking merchandise, stocking shelves, and rotating displays. Provide customer service by greeting shoppers, assisting with product location, and maintaining clean store environments. Lead store operations in the absence of the Store Manager by authorizing refunds, counting registers, making bank deposits, and monitoring cash levels. Open and close the store under Area Manager direction while adhering to all company policies and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training)
