Job Summary
Supervise group play sessions in outdoor yards, monitoring dog behavior to prevent rough play, aggression, or stress. Maintain constant awareness of all dogs under your supervision while cleaning up pet waste promptly to ensure a safe environment. Assist with feeding, watering, and transitioning dogs to and from the play yard. Communicate observations regarding dog behavior, health, or injuries to management. Follow facility protocols for safety, sanitation, and animal handling while providing positive interaction to all dogs. This role requires physical capability for extended standing and lifting up to 50 lbs, with shifts potentially including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
Required Qualifications
- Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Must be 16 years or older
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Shifts may include weekends, early mornings, holidays, and evenings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, shelter, or training environment is highly preferred
