Dog Trainer - Pocatello

Provide professional dog training services at Best Friends Pet Care in Pocatello, ID, including board-and-train, private, and group training as facility and customer needs allow. Train dogs using positive reinforcement and adhere to established training program outlines. Recommend and sell related training-related retail items (leads, collars, lure treats) as appropriate. Respond to customer inquiries promptly and promote services through center events and visits to local veterinarians. Maintain up-to-date class offerings and training schedules in Best Friends’ computer system, keep training areas clean, handle dogs safely, and communicate any pet or customer concerns to the Center Manager. Collaborate with the Canine Interactive Services Manager to grow center business and support the training program. Uphold company mission and policies while demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a love of animals. Travel minimal; must be able to work a schedule including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand/walk/climb stairs, and operate a computer system; prior dog training education or internship and solid dog training skills are essential.
