Job Summary
Dog Trainer role focused on hands-on dog training, behavior modification planning, private lessons, and group classes using reward-based methods. Responsibilities include daily training with assigned dogs, creating training plans, meeting clients to discuss goals and progress, providing enrichment, documenting dog behavior and training status, adhering to LIMA standards, developing and running curricula, conducting private and group sessions, coordinating with other departments, and contributing to business growth through client education and social media content. Requires communication with clients, ability to work flexible hours, physical ability to handle dogs, and CCPDT certification or ability to obtain within one year.
Required Qualifications
- CCPDT Certification or the ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
- 1-2 years of experience in training animals or equivalent education is preferred
- Knowledge of Operant and Classical Conditioning as it pertains to training dogs preferred
