Job Summary
Back of House Lead at Dog Tired oversees daily operations of the back-of-house at a dog daycare and lodging facility. Responsibilities include supervising daycare attendants/pet techs, training and mentoring staff, scheduling coverage for daycare, lodging, and cleaning tasks, managing supplies and inventory, ensuring safety and health standards for dogs, coordinating with front-of-house, and contributing to marketing and hiring efforts. The role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication with clients and staff, and comfort handling dogs of various breeds and temperaments. Physical duties include lifting up to 50 lbs and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Prior supervisory experience in animal-care settings and a high school diploma or equivalent are required; CPR/First Aid for animals is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year prior work-related experience and leadership experience
- Supervisory/leadership experience in a dog daycare, lodging, or animal-care facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience leading a team in a dog daycare, boarding, or animal-care facility
- CPR and First Aid training for animals (preferred)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Proficiency with basic computer systems for records and inventory
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Weekend and holiday availability (as required)
