Job Summary
Assist the teacher in planning educational activities, implementing individualized plans, and observing children's growth while documenting findings in blue books. Ensure child safety by monitoring the center, reporting accidents, and addressing health concerns. Carry out administrative duties, maintain daily attendance records, and manage in-kind reports. Assume full teacher responsibilities during absences and participate in weekly staff meetings and training. Coordinate parent and volunteer involvement, including home visits and conferences as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- currently enrolled in CDA program
- enrolled in early childhood coursework leading to an associate or bachelor degree
- High School Diploma
- G.E.D.
- car available on a daily basis
- ability to read and write sufficiently to maintain proper records
