Job Summary
Conduct coordinated school health tasks including coordinating screenings with community partners, health and wellness promotion, data collection, and disease surveillance. Facilitate virtual and/or in-person visits with a Hawaii Keiki Nurse Practitioner. Cover school health rooms following Hawaii State Department of Education protocol as requested. Perform data entry and health education as needed. Complete vital sign measurements while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Work 32.5 hours weekly from 7:30am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday at Aiea Intermediate School. This role supports the Hawaii Keiki program at the nursing school.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in a health related field or equivalent job related work experience
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
- Experience working in a clinical setting
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Customer service skills
- Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
- Vital sign measurement
