Job Summary
Oversee on-site management and coordination of all construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop detailed plans, manage subcontractors, and conduct regular site meetings to review progress and address issues. Monitor work performance, enforce safety regulations, and maintain accurate documentation while communicating updates to clients and stakeholders. This role requires travel to various project sites and may involve extended hours, including weekends. HuGus Inc. delivers high-quality construction and maintenance services to both private and government clients.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, materials, and industry standards
- Familiarity with federal government contracting requirements
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work on construction sites, including standing, walking, and climbing as needed
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as required
- Extended hours, including weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or equivalent
- Familiarity with federal government contracting requirements is a plus
- Project Management or General Management (PMP or Certified Manager) certification training
