Job Summary
Implement EHS policies and procedures while interpreting OSHA standards for surveys and audits. Conduct accident investigations, participate in safety committees, and oversee production personnel involved in radiological and RCRA decommissioning activities. Collect and analyze EHS metrics to support the Environmental, Safety, Health, Quality, and Training Manager on the nuclear decommissioning project. This role requires eight years of safety experience, a Bachelor's degree, and a Department of Energy Level L Security Clearance. Occasional overtime and travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Minimum of eight years of safety and industrial hygiene experience
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial engineering or related field of study
- Working knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry standards
- US Citizen; no dual citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Level L Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain radiological qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to pass and maintain a medical clearance for entry into radiological areas
Desired Qualifications
- CSP, CIH, CHMM or equivalent certification
- Prior shipyard, DOE, or Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience
- Experience in radiological and environmental decontamination and decommissioning fields
