Job Summary
Manage nuclear decontamination and decommissioning projects in Livermore, California, by developing project plans, budgets, and critical path schedules to achieve contract objectives. Lead a multi-disciplined team, oversee all project phases from initiation to closeout, and serve as the primary point of contact for the client. Implement the Earned Value Management System, track progress against baselines, and proactively resolve discrepancies. Coordinate initial work planning with operations and engineering to develop resource-loaded schedules and cost estimates while supervising daily personnel activities. Establish safety and quality programs and prepare financial reports including progress updates.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Bachelor of Science in relevant degree (Engineering, Physical Science)
- Working knowledge of DOE Order 413.3B
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using Earned Value Management Systems and using Primavera 6 or similar project management software
- Demonstrated experience in leading (supervising/managing) multi-discipline teams to achieve project objectives
- Experience in nuclear operations, engineering design, and/or D&D/remediation
- Experience at DOE facilities and projects with a detailed working knowledge of key DOE Orders related to EVMS, baseline management, ES&H, QA, Conduct of Operations, and Engineering/Construction
- Minimum of 7 years project management supervisory experience on large, complex nuclear projects involving radioactive waste environmental remediation and disposal
- Current security clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a DOE security clearance
- Must be a US Citizen
