Job Summary
Internship in maintenance at Lineage Logistics under DoD SkillBridge. Responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, structures, plumbing, and electrical systems, with training provided to grow within the maintenance team. Tasks involve basic preventative maintenance on machinery and refrigeration systems, inspections of refrigeration systems, testing equipment, operating power tools and welding apparatus, and working under close supervision. Locations available: Oxnard, CA; Wauwatosa, WI; Charlotte, NC. Duration 90-120 days. Minimum requirements include eligibility for DoD SkillBridge program, basic technical aptitude, ability to handle physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work varied shifts including weekends. Pay range provided: $19.18-$32.40 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, PTO, and holiday pay. The program aims to transition interns to full-time Maintenance Technician I pending training objectives and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DODI 1322.29
- Completion of trade school courses or minimal experience in one or more of the following areas: building maintenance, material handling equipment maintenance or refrigeration maintenance (ammonia, Freon and/or CO2)
- Capable of completing routine preventative maintenance with instructions and supervision
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs./23 kgs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends if needed
- Ability to work in varied temperatures and use PPE
