Job Summary
Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security systems including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems for enterprise clients. Troubleshoot new installations to ensure systems function properly and meet code requirements while running electrical wiring, drilling, and trenching. Supervise Installation Technician I's on assigned jobs and drive to client sites with a company vehicle to perform installations and confirm system effectiveness. Complete miscellaneous tasks such as job-site clean-up and deliver product familiarization training to end-users. Maintain performance consistent with core values while working in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Member
- Qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Valid driver's license
- At least one year of driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months)
- Minimum level of insurance as required by company policy
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm or low voltage communication industry
- Experience installing field devices
- Experience programming systems
- Experience running medium- to large-sized jobs
- Ability to travel and drive throughout Southern California and out of state, such as AZ, MN, UT, and CO, as needed
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment with minimum direction
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal & external customers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Ability to complete time entry from home on a daily basis via the Internet
- Ability to deliver product familiarization training to end-users
Desired Qualifications
- NICET certification
- Experience with access control, video management, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems
- Experience with Lenel/S2, Software House, AMAG, Brivo, Open Options
- Experience with Avigilon, Genetec, Exacqvision, Milestone, ONSSI, Axis, American Dynamics, and Eagle Eye
- Experience with DMP, Bosch, and Commend
- Experience with Edwards, Notifier, Firelite
