Job Summary
Diagnose HVAC, fire/life safety, and integrated security electronic control system malfunctions, then maintain, repair, or install new equipment and commission systems as needed. Consult internal engineering teams for drawing discrepancies and interface with customers to complete service documentation, provide training instructions, and recommend system enhancements. Collaborate with team members to support mechanical, electrical, and automation systems while working on-site and traveling locally. This internship offers mentorship through weekly Zoom meetings and access to career development resources for active-duty military members transitioning to Siemens.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Member
- Qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Demonstrated experience and/or applied knowledge/aptitude in mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or other related systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
- Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work on-site and travel locally as needed
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with limited violations
Desired Qualifications
- U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Experience in demand-side energy services or Certified Energy Manager
- Familiarity or experience with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems
