Job Summary
Diagnose HVAC, fire/life safety, and integrated security electronic control system malfunctions, then maintain, repair, or install new equipment and perform commissioning as needed. Consult engineering teams for drawing discrepancies and interface with customers to complete service documentation, provide training instructions, and recommend system enhancements. Work on-site and travel locally to support mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, or automation systems while collaborating with internal teams. This internship is for active-duty U.S. military personnel approved for the DoD SkillBridge Program, with candidates continuing to receive their current military wage and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Member
- Qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Demonstrated experience and/or applied knowledge/aptitude in mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, or other related systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
- Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work on-site and travel locally as needed
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with limited violations
Desired Qualifications
- U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Experience in demand-side energy services or Certified Energy Manager
- Familiarity or experience with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems
