Job Summary

Develop detailed work procedures and facility deactivation plans to support radiological decontamination and decommissioning efforts at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. Author technical work documents, electrical deactivation plans, and facility characterization plans while participating in work scoping and project schedule development. Oversee and examine production and subcontractor work to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. Create project closeout and release reports to document site-wide remediation activities. Maintain qualifications under strict program standards and adapt to a culture focusing on safety and health.

Required Qualifications

  • Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Science
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Nuclear, Construction, Demolition or Remediation fields
  • US Citizenship
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptation to culture focusing on Safety and Health
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Level L Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain radiological qualifications

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience
  • Radiological, environmental and electrical engineering experience
  • Autocad Inventor experience
