Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver multiple simultaneous Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, or Integrated Security projects in commercial buildings while managing fiscal responsibility, project billing, and job cost reporting. Review project contracts, specs, and drawings to establish intent, develop project schedules, and oversee materials procurement. Conduct orientation for technicians, track resources, document schedule impacts, and pursue change-order opportunities to coordinate billing. Schedule commissioning resources, expedite mark-ups for as-built development, and complete project-specific close-out documentation. This internship, open to active-duty U.S. Military Members with DOD SkillBridge approval, runs from January 2026 to June 2026. Candidates will work within Siemens' global team, gaining hands-on experience in technical project management across our Smart Buildings business groups.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Member
- Qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Electro-mechanical aptitude
- Technical experience supporting mechanical, electrical, thermodynamic, hydraulic, mechatronic, construction (MEP) or other related systems
- Project management experience to include project scope, scheduling, documentation, resource allocation and fiscal responsibility
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal & written)
- Demonstrated ability to interface with customers and collaborate with team members
- Ability to work on-site and travel within assigned local area as needed
- Legally authorized for employment in the United States
- 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license with limited violations
Desired Qualifications
- U.S. Military experience as an E5 or above (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, Reserves)
- DOD SkillBridge Internship participation date of January 2026 - June 2026
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Experience in demand-side energy services or Certified Energy Manager
- Familiarity or experience with engineering HVAC, Building Automation, Fire Alarm, or Security systems
