DoD SkillBridge - Associate Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair designated medical modalities, including high-voltage ionizing radiation equipment, while following strict safety protocols for confined spaces and high-current modulators. Perform supervised calibrations, preventative maintenance, and analyze schematics to diagnose issues with a success rate commensurate with training levels. Submit accurate service reports, manage parts inventory, and maintain company-leased equipment and tools in accordance with Elekta directives. Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to interpret signal flow, ensuring full compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and ESD requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active-duty U.S. Military Members who qualify for the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferably in Electronics, Physics, or an associated discipline
- Bachelor's Degree
- Good electro-mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Computer literate
- Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools including oscilloscopes and multi-meters
- Good understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices including ESD (electrostatic discharge) requirements
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
- Ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional and positive manner
- Flexible and adaptive; Can take direction
- Ability to organize and prepare reports and meet administrative deadlines
- Willing to travel and work unsociable hours
- Must maintain an active driver's license in home state
