Job Summary
The DoD Audit Remediation and Internal Control Specialist supports DoD organizations by executing A-123 / RMIC assessments, facilitating audit remediation activities, and testing or designing internal controls. Responsibilities include developing or updating process documentation, implementing corrective action plans, performing financial statement audits, and reviewing documentation prepared by junior personnel. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and relevant experience in financial management are required. Candidates must obtain and maintain a 'SECRET' security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'SECRET' security clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- Relevant experience/coursework to financial management, auditing, internal controls and/or federal financial policy.
Desired Qualifications
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED 'SECRET' Federal or DoD security clearance
- ONE (1) year of experience performing financial statement audits, RMIC / A-123 program execution, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD, another Federal Government agency, or commercial organizations
- Advanced Degree
- One of the following professional certifications: CPA, CIA
