Job Summary
Manager-level financial management analyst supporting DoD audit readiness by performing detailed reviews of Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) and executing DAR-Q procedures in compliance with DoD guidance. Responsibilities include validating supporting documentation, coordinating with contracting officers, resource managers, and program offices to resolve aged obligations, documenting findings, and maintaining audit-ready workpapers; and overseeing junior staff. Requires 5-7 years of DoD financial management, budget execution, or audit support experience, a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field, and strong Excel, data-analysis, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DoD financial management, budget execution, or audit readiness
- Experience with Unliquidated Obligations (ULO) review
- Experience with Dormant Account Review (DAR-Q)
- Strong knowledge of DoD budget execution lifecycle and audit requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, pivot tables)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate with contracting officers, resource managers, and program offices
