Job Summary
Document Systems Specialist responsible for governing documentation strategy, standards, and systems across the organization. Own end-to-end documentation programs (SOPs, Work Instructions, Manuals) and lifecycle, including development of complex, high-impact technical documentation derived from engineering data. Act as a subject matter expert and internal consultant to business units on documentation strategy and process improvements, influencing leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and product quality. Evaluate, select, and implement documentation tools and systems, and ensure compliance, usability, and access control for documentation libraries. Role requires independent judgment on tooling decisions, architecture, and workflows, with responsibilities spanning governance, collaboration in R&D initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical, mechanical, manufacturing, Quality team or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent advanced experience)
- Demonstrated expertise in documentation architecture, information design, or knowledge management systems
- MS Office products and Adobe document tools
- XML or HTML experience
- SharePoint
- Ability to interpret complex engineering and technical data and translate into structured, compliant documentation
- General knowledge of ISO and other electrical standards
- Technical and mechanical knowledge of low and medium voltage electrical equipment
