Job Summary
Document Reviewer Level II with on-site role at a government facility in Bethesda, MD supporting NRC Declassification Program. Role involves training to conduct declassification reviews, analyzing unclassified and classified documents to determine appropriate actions, applying knowledge of classified document markings and symbols, making determinations on declassification referrals and exemptions, recognizing potential nuclear weapons/ intelligence information requiring further review, and handling physical boxes/documents (15–25 lbs) while preserving contents. Requires active DoD TS or DOE Q clearance, and a background in research/analysis, historical analysis, legal documentation/archiving, records management, MOS 71L duties, or Cold War intelligence. Preferred bachelor’s degree or higher; military or NRC experience a plus.
Required Qualifications
- active DoD Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance
- minimum of three years of reviewing experience and knowledge relating to Declassification and E.O. 13526
- ability to communicate effectively – both orally and in writing
- strong analytical skills, reading comprehension, and attention to detail
- ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and adjust to established work patterns and processes as required
- preferred bachelor’s degree or higher in a science related subject area or history
- military experience or NRC experience a plus
