Job Summary
Document Controls Manager responsible for establishing and administering the project document management system, maintaining master drawing registers, transmittal logs, RFI/submittal tracking, and ensuring accurate issued-for-construction drawings across multiple capital infrastructure projects within an EPC/EPCM environment. Embeds within an engineering and construction management team delivering T&D capital projects (substation construction and upgrades) and coordinates document control across engineering, construction, procurement, and client to ensure timely delivery of the right documents to the right people.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of document controls experience on capital infrastructure, EPC, or utility projects
- Experience working within an EPC or EPCM project delivery environment
- Proficiency in enterprise document management systems; utility and EPC environments commonly use platforms such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, and Documentum
- Demonstrated experience managing drawing registers, transmittal logs, and RFI and submittal tracking on multi-discipline capital projects
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — this role is the single source of truth for project documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for log management and reporting
- Must be able to work full-time on-site at the Oakland, CA office
