Job Summary
Document Controller for an Energy from Waste construction project (Contract Outside IR35). Responsibilities include managing the project document control system, processing incoming/outgoing documentation, maintaining document registers and trackers for drawings, technical submissions, RFIs, and correspondence, ensuring proper numbering and metadata, issuing controlled documents, liaising with internal teams and contractors, performing quality checks, tracking revisions and archiving superseded files, providing admin support to project management and engineering teams, and producing weekly document control reports for progress tracking and audits.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction, engineering, or energy infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of document control procedures and version management.
- Experience using EDMS systems such as Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, 4Projects, or SharePoint.
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently across multidisciplinary teams.
- Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong coordination with project teams.
- Familiarity with large-scale industrial or Energy from Waste projects is advantageous.
