Job Summary
Lead, supervise, and provide administrative direction for a team of document and compliance specialists while overseeing the full document control program in the Superblock facilities. Develop, implement, and maintain facility-wide document management policies, procedures, plans, and retention schedules. Oversee the document lifecycle, including creation, review, approval, distribution, tracking, archival, and destruction, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, institutional requirements, and nuclear facility safety bases. Serve as the subject matter expert for document management processes and monitor workflow, performance, and work quality. Manage document routing, revision control, inventories, and metadata using electronic systems such as ELM-U. Evaluate processes to verify requirements are implemented and coordinate corrective action plans related to deficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire
- Pre-Employment Drug Test (passing a post-offer, pre-employment drug test)
- Bachelor's degree in communications, English or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Experience with electronic document management systems, preferably Windchill (ELM-U)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Strong knowledge of documentation standards, records retention practices, and applicable federal and nuclear regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional work, influence stakeholders, and resolve sensitive issues with tact and judgment
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
- Full-time on-site presence
- Active clearance (DOE Q-level or Top Secret) at time of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Procedure Professional Association (PPA) certification
- Experience with Superblock policies, procedures, and operating practices
- Extensive experience in document control, records management, or configuration management
- Experience leading teams and managing complex document control programs in highly regulated environments
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, manage, and oversee the development and implementation of new programs and projects from concept through execution
