Job Summary

Lead doctrine analysis for the Joint Staff by conducting comprehensive reviews, overseeing program-level workflows, and steering working groups that sustain chairman's programs across doctrine, education, and training. Translate complex information for various audiences while ensuring timely, accurate, and policy-aligned doctrinal products that influence warfighters and senior leaders. Support modernization initiatives and emerging concepts to enhance interoperability across the Joint Force. This role requires a TS/SCI clearance and 2+ years of experience in joint doctrine development. The position offers a projected annualized salary of $86,800 to $198,000 and is open to full-time or part-time employees working at least 20 hours weekly.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a doctrine analyst, including with joint doctrine development, review, and analysis
  • Experience conducting complex long-range studies and developing rigorous technical analyses and recommendations
  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify gaps, redundancies, and areas for improvement across doctrine or materials
  • Knowledge of project management principles
  • Ability to translate complex information for various audiences
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience with military operations and staff
  • Master's degree and 3+ years of experience with military operations and staff
  • 10+ years of experience with military operations and staff in lieu of a degree
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • TS/SCI clearance is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading or participating in major studies of comprehensive and highly complex issues
  • Experience supporting working groups, conferences, staffing cycles, or collaborative coordination processes
  • Experience producing special studies, emerging doctrine analyses, or allied doctrine research reports
  • Experience advising senior military or civilian leaders on complex doctrine, education, or readiness issues
  • Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder staffing efforts and overseeing doctrinal workflows
  • Knowledge of Joint Electronic Library (JEL) and Joint Doctrine Development Tool (JDDT) systems and terminology processes
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
