Job Summary
Conduct analytical reviews, coordinate working groups, and prepare briefings for joint doctrine publications to support warfighter readiness. Maintain mission-critical doctrine tools and update Universal Joint Task List content while collaborating with Joint Staff personnel and Combatant Commands. Assist with terminology research, edit publication drafts, and sustain key doctrine systems using tools like the Joint Doctrine Development Tool. Ensure all doctrine remains accurate, relevant, and aligned with joint force needs through disciplined processes and quantitative analysis. TS/SCI clearance required; associate degree and three years of military operations experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with the fundamental principles of developing and assessing joint and multinational doctrine
- Experience preparing for and conducting working groups and conferences
- Knowledge of Joint Staff structure, mission, and relationships with Combatant Commands, Services, and Departmental Agencies
- Knowledge of Universal Joint Tasks (UJTs) and their relationship to Joint Doctrine
- Ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
- TS/SCI clearance
- Associate degree and 3+ years of experience in military operations, or 5+ years of experience in military operations in lieu of a degree
- Ability to conduct research using Joint and Service Lessons Learned Systems
- Ability to conduct doctrinal or operational analysis
- Possession of excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including usage of modern English grammar
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Joint doctrine tools, including Joint Electronic Library and Joint Doctrine Development Tool
- Experience supporting doctrine conferences, working groups, or publication processes
- Experience with Joint Staff, Combatant Command, or component command
- Knowledge of Joint and Service Lessons Learned Systems to conduct research and develop reports
