Job Summary
Input and maintain patient records while supporting doctors and clients during medical visits. Promote patient flow to minimize wait times and increase overall efficiency. Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians and hospitals in the community. Manage patient discharges and provide exceptional customer service through organizational tasks that reduce wait times. This role enables establishing strong connections with patients and clients to promote the human-animal-veterinary bond.
Required Qualifications
- More than one year of experience in the veterinary hospital as a technician, liaison, or CCA, or equivalent experience in human medicine
- Sufficient computer experience (Word, Excel) and the ability to learn various veterinary software programs
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Professional-level typing skills
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks appropriately
- Excellent clear communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Must be attentive and demonstrate a high level of respect to referring veterinarians, clients, and co-workers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for long periods
- Must be available for days, evenings, weekends, and a holiday shift rotation
